Good Friday opportunity for singers of all abilities
We are invited!
“I am contacting you to invite anyone in your congregation interested in joining our choirs at Potomac Presbyterian Church for our Good Friday Tenebrae Service “Shadow of the Cross” by Lloyd Larson. We hope to create a ‘mass choir’ – anyone and all are welcome to join regardless of ability. This community-focused service involves relatively low commitment (two rehearsals) and is aimed more at a community gathering service than something exclusive to our congregation.” ~ Sam Gray, Director of Music/Organist at Potomac Presbyterian Church
If you are interested in singing, let our Director of Music Peter Smeallie know, and he can ensure materials (music) get to you. The music is relatively simple but meaningful.
Rehearsal schedule
Wed. March 27 –
7-9pm – Choral Rehearsal
Fri. March 29 –
5-6pm – Dress Rehearsal
6-6:45pm – Dinner provided
7pm – Service
Even if you don’t want to sing, we hope you’ll consider attending this Good Friday service in our community on this very holy night.
