Pastor/Head of Staff

Rev. Adele Crawford (She/Her)

Adele grew up in Birmingham, Michigan, where both music and church played central roles in her life from an early age. She earned her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Voice Performance from the University of Michigan School of Music before embarking on a 15-year professional career in opera.

In 2005, she finally felt ready to answer the other call in her life - one to ministry - which she had felt since she was 19. As a fourth-generation pastor, she likes to say she "entered the family business." After a year at Louisville Seminary, she transferred to Yale Divinity School where she earned her MDiv in 2008. As an ordained PC(USA) pastor with nearly 2 decades of experience, Adele takes seriously and joyfully her vow to serve the church with "energy, intelligence, imagination and love."

In her spare time, Adele loves to hike or walk, work in her garden, share a glass of beer or wine with friends, read, attend concerts/theater, and travel.
