Help Make Your Child's Worship Experience A Positive One
Ways You Can Help Improve Your Child's Worship Time
Worship in a location from which children can see the front of the sanctuary.
Offer to help the children find the hymns, scripture, and unison readings in the bulletin.
Relax and help the children learn that worship is the joyful recognition of God’s love for us.
Smile in their direction to express your joy at having them with you in worship.
Help them to follow the order of worship so that they know what is coming next in the service.
Include them, with your help, in passing the offering plate, elements for communion, holding the hymnal and bulletin.
Practice at home saying the Lord’s Prayer, Doxology and the Gloria Patri.
“Tell me, I’ll forget.
Show me, I may remember.
Involve me and I’ll understand.”
