Meet Warner Memorial's Outstanding Staff

Rev. Adele Crawford
We are pleased to welcome Reverend Adele Crawford as Warner's new pastor! Adele grew up in Birmingham, Michigan, where both music and church played central roles in her life from an early age. She earned her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Voice Performance from the University of Michigan School of Music before embarking on a 15-year professional career in opera.
In 2005, she finally felt ready to answer the other call in her life - one to ministry - which she had felt since she was 19. As a fourth-generation pastor, she likes to say she "entered the family business." After a year at Louisville Seminary, she transferred to Yale Divinity School where she earned her MDiv in 2008. As an ordained PC(USA) pastor with eleven years experience, Adele takes seriously and joyfully her vow to serve the church with "energy, intelligence, imagination and love."
In her spare time, Adele loves to hike or walk with her 11 year old Cocker Spaniel, Rony, work in her garden, share a glass of beer or wine with friends, read, attend concerts/theater, and travel.

Rana Oriolo
LCYC Director
Our new director, Rana Oriolo, comes to LCYC from the Rockville Community Nursery School, where she had over nine years of experience teaching in the 2-year-old, 3-year old and 4-year old programs, and served as assistant director. Rana’s positive attitude, kind disposition, and non-stop energy make it very easy for parents to entrust their most precious possessions to her. Her ability to balance the individual needs of students, along with her understanding of young children’s development in a group, allow her to create a warm, nurturing environment where children learn together and thrive as individuals. Rana is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, with a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Development and a Birth-Kindergarten teaching license. She has completed continuing education in preschool administration.
Rana knows the parent cooperative model from both sides, as a teacher and a parent. She grew up in Montgomery County and attended MCPS schools from Pre-K to twelfth grade. She lives in Olney with her husband and three children, ages 9, 6 and 15 months.

Shervonne Johnson
Sunday Morning Preschool/Nursery Aide
My name is Shervonne Johnson. I am from the United States Virgin Islands (St. Croix). I attended Columbia Union College (Washington Adventist University) where I received a Bachelor’s of Science in Healthcare Administration. I am currently attending Trinity University in pursuit of a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership.
I am a Preschool Director at the Friendship Children’s Center. I enjoy making a difference in the lives of children as they enter my school environment. I believe that learning is a fun process and not a routine.
During my spare time, I like to travel, go to the movies, go bowling, and enjoy a White Chocolate Mocha from Starbucks.
My favorite Bible text which has been my rock and foundation is “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. Philippians 4:13
